Our Fibers

Acrylic
Acrylic is a light-weight, man-made fiber that provides softness and warmth, holds color well, and is both stain and wrinkle resistant. Socks in acrylic fabric are a great choice because they keep their shape and can be highly elastic. They may be a better choice for hikers, because you are far less likely to get blisters from acrylic socks than from cotton blend socks. Its also an excellent wool substitute for those allergic to wool.

Alpha San Polyester
AlphaSan is an antimicrobial additive that utilizes the natural power of silver to protect a wide variety of products against bacteria, fungus, mold, and other microbes.

Combed Cotton
Combed cotton is an extremely soft version of cotton made by specially treating the cotton fibers before they are spun into yarn. Combed cotton is softer, stronger and less likely to fray & unravel because shorter and breakable fibers have been removed through combing allowing the straightened fibers to lie together more tightly.

Comfortrel Polyester
Comfortrel Polyester allows for superior breathability and wickability in soft, natural-feeling fabrics. The moisture management system carries moisture away from the body, keeping your feet dry and cool. Skin temperature doesnt get too hot or too chilled, giving your feet a fresher, softer, noticeably cooler feeling.

Cotton
Cotton is a natural fiber harvested from the cotton plant. One of the most widely-used natural fibers in existence today, this lightweight, moisture absorbing fabric is breathable, washable, and biodegradable.

Isowool
Isowool is a very soft fabric that has high abrasion resistance, high dimensional stability, very good color fastness, high durability, and odor-resistance. It improves dimensional stability, reducing the risk of washing shrinkage of socks. It also prevents wool from felting.

Merino Wool
Merino is a breed of sheep that produce the finest & softest wool. Merino wool is completely natural and one of the best performance fabrics available. It shares all of the characteristics classic to wool, but what makes Merino wool different is its luxurious softness, wicking, odor-resistant, breathable, temperature-regulating, quick-drying, lightweight, washable and super-comfortable qualities. When it's hot, you feel dry and comfortable, but when it's cold, it holds in your heat.

Polypropylene
Polypropylene has the lowest specific gravity of any man-made fiber. A superior water repelling fiber, it doesn't soak up water, making it ideal for uses where it will be constantly subject to moisture. It is also stain resistant and colorfast.

Spandex
Spandex is a synthetic fiber known for its exceptional elasticity. Its a synthetic fabric with a polymer base giving it the ability to wick moisture and stretch. Spandex is able to expand up to 600% and spring back without losing its integrity.

Spun Polyester
Spun Polyester is made from polyester fibers, which are spun into singles yarns and then plied into a thread. It has a great ability to retain color, provide good soil release and resist shrinkage. It is very durable, and has a heavier cotton-blend-type texture, so it feels better to the touch. This fade-resistant fabric has far better absorbability than cotton.

Stretch Nylon
Nylon is a synthetic fabric made from petroleum products. Nylon is valued for its light weight, incredible strength, durability, and resistance to damage. Nylon filaments are crimped and heat set to provide elasticity making it a flexible textile, commonly used in combination of other yarns to produce stretch socks.

Wool
Wool is the dense, warm coat of sheep. Its highly durable, able to stretch up to 50% when wet and 30% when dry. Wool acts as a great insulator and has excellent moisture wicking properties, pulling moisture away from the skin. People in a wide variety of situations who prefer the feeling of dry air next to the skin to the dampness from perspiration wear wool.

X-System
X-System is a scent-eliminating technology. Nano-silver fibers which eliminate more than 250 types of microbes and the odors they cause are integrated into each garments fabric. X-System products resist body odor throughout the life of the garment and is also highly breathable, keeping your skin clean and healthy, due to reductions of bacteria growth.
